Create your own unique garden planters and indoor planters
Our new and exciting range of metal planters is available in a choice of finishes and colours. Just specify which finish/colour you would like at the time you place your order. All finishes on this page render the planters suitable for use as indoor planters, as well on the patio or in the garden.
i. Galvanised
The planters are crafted in mild steel, and then subjected to hot dip galvanising. This process tends to create an irregular, roughly textured finish which gives the planter a unique hand-crafted appearance. You need to be aware that the galvanising process may cause minor rippling or distortion of the steel in the longer-length planters (such as the trough). Although this is a standard characteristic of the galvanising process on longer lengths of steel, we do take measures to reduce the effect as much as possible.
ii. Acid-etched
The planters are crafted in mild steel, and hot-dipped as in the galvanising process. They are then given an acid treatment to darken the finish and create an authentic weathered effect, similar to aged lead planters.
iii. Powder-coated in one of the RAL colours below
The planters are crafted in mild steel, and treated with a zinc primer before the powder-coating is applied. After that the planters are baked in a kiln to produce a smooth glossy finish.
A much larger range of powder-coated colours, as shown in the link below, is available at extra cost. Please contact us for a quote on any colours other than the 5 colours given above.
Disclaimer:
Please be advised that the colour samples shown are representations only and may not identically match the actual colour on metal.
Due to the live processes involved in the production of our planters, we cannot produce exact replicas of the finish on any product with a galvanised or acid-etched finish.
